The concept sounded great, but the two weeks since I subscribed, have left me disappointed. The first week, the QR code kept giving them an error code when they scanned it at the theatre, so they couldn't issue a ticket, I had to come back again for another screening time. This week, the movie of the week was a movie with only 2 single screening times, both sold out before the QR code was available for the day of. So the movie of the week was literally unavailable to watch, and I live in LA

We are really sorry for the trouble and we appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. Please send us an email at support@mubi.com with info about the film and cinema where the code couldn't be scanned, and we'll look into it. Thanks.

Already wasn't jazzed about having to download an app & give my precise GPS location for what could just be a dropdown on a webpage. Took a long time to even get into the app after handing over card details because it said my account wasn't activated even though it was. And all that just to discover I don't live anywhere near a participating cinema, because you can't access the list of cinemas until you've signed up to a subscription and downloaded the app and so on.
Our apologies for any inconvenience you’ve experienced using our app. We invite you to email us at support@mubi.com, so the team can assist you with any issues you’ve experienced.

I love this! I've seen some great movies because of this subscription. If you are tired of prequels, sequels, superheroes, and cinematic universes, this subscription is for you.
