I have the problem losing the connection to the SmarTemp controller like so many have reported. I figured out a workaround. Open the app and do what you want. Then close the app. On my phone, I press the square button on the bottom right and then swipe up to close the app. Later, I reopen the app and it connects fine. I just did this for a week on vacation and never had a problem connecting. I have reported this to Webasto so hopefully they can figure out a long term fix. Hope this helps others!

Edit: app "stopped working" because the thermostat failed. Not the Apps fault. Rating changed to 4 for when it was working. Would like to see the app allow multiple scheduled run times to be selected (maybe password protected?). Would also like to see some intelligence in the app to control the heater with a combo of min and max temps in combo with a minimum "burn" time, to ensure the heater runs long enough to avoid soot build up in the combustion chamber.

was connected for over a month, and then suddenly, the app can't find a device. I called tech support, and they blame it on android, which, by the looks of the reviews, you guys have been doing for several months. These same android phones that can't connect to your device, which is sold as android compatible, connect to other Bluetooth devices without issue. fix the problem or admit you can't. As it turns out, I disconnected power to the controller,and when I powered it up , got it to connect.
