Since 2010, archaeological excavations have been taking place in the area of Monostordomb, which is located on the border of the village of Bugac, and since then we have been regularly delighted with sensational finds from the Árpád period. The monastery was founded between 1130 and 1140 by the Becs-Gergely family, which was an outstanding aristocratic family of the time. The settlement, located next to the important military and commercial road, is located in the 12th-13th century. by the turn of the century, it had grown into the economic and sacred center of the Danube-Tisza region. The destruction of the settlement, which at that time was considered to be huge and urban in nature, was clearly seen in 1241-42. caused by the Mongol invasion. The digital reconstruction of the golden age before the Tatar invasion can now be viewed using the Vissza a Múltba™ application, in which two historical eras are presented.
The Back to the Past™ application allows us to look around from selectable viewpoints of different locations with the help of our device in the virtual space, which reconstructs certain historical eras of the given location. This application presents the Golden Monastery in Bugac, and the 12-13. century settlement picture.
