Among the students, Nashoihul Ibad is very popular. Not only because of the rich content, although the pages are not too thick, but also because this book was written by a native Indonesian scholar, namely Sheikh Nawawi Al-Bantani.
Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani is a great scholar who was born in 1815 AD in Kampung Tanara, a small village in Tirtayasa District, Serang Regency, Banten Province.
At every majlis ta'lim his work is always used as the main reference in various sciences; from monotheism, fiqh, tasawuf to interpretation. His works are very meritorious in directing the scientific mainstream developed in Islamic boarding schools which are under the auspices of Nahdhatul Ulama.
One of his works which is very well known in the Islamic boarding school environment, namely the book Nashoihul Ibad, contains such a deep meaning and is of such high nature.
So that if it is understood deeply and practiced in daily life, it can lead us to purity of heart, cleanliness of soul, and good manners, and can remind us of the importance of understanding the true meaning of life.
