About this game

Become the greatest telepathic villain Los Diablos has ever known! Once you were famous; soon you will be infamous. That is, unless your old friends in the Rangers stop you first. Juggle different identities and preserve your secrets as you build new alliances and try to forget the friendships you've left behind.

"Fallen Hero: Rebirth" is a 380,000 word interactive novel by Malin Rydén, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

• Hone your telepathic talents, possess people and venture into their minds.
• Build your own personalized combat armor: be a terrifying super-strong behemoth, a mysterious speedster or anything inbetween.
• Make alliances or enemies in the Los Diablos underworld while you outfight and outthink the heroes set against you.
• Explore relationships as straight, gay, bisexual or aromantic. Romance a mad scientist, your former partner, or both.
• Juggle two bodies and three identities, play as male, female or genderqueer.
• Above all; make sure your past never catches up with you.

How far will you fall down the path of villainy?

Extremely fun interactive novel. Does a very good job of allowing player choice while still keeping the protagonist very clearly in the role of a villain. The narrative doesn't try to downplay or sugarcoat it, which is greatly to its benefit. Unfortunately, this game is largely setup. Really well executed and interesting setup, but you are likely to end up in a state of `Wait that's all? It just got good?` at the end. Can't wait for the sequel, which, last I saw, should be releasing soonish?

I absolutely loved the story and look forward to reading more. I ended up really liking the main protagonist (at least with the path I made him take) and I found myself getting really immersed in the character. I still would love the option to restart a chapter if needed as there were times were I felt I had missed something or realized other options would have made more sense for the character, but I couldn't change them. Still, definitely worth the read!

Best written text game I have ever played. It focuses on fewer characters and events than normal for these types of games, but the result is a story with a lot more depth and detail and narrative finesse. I read books for the emotional catharsis, and this has plenty of that and one scene in particular had me chocked up more than I have been in a long time (pc and love interest's argument in a park). The worst part is going to be the long wait for the next games and a conclusion to the story.
