Angelina Skvortsova did not manage to become a participant in Leonid Egorovich Zaretsky’s project “The Birth of a Star,” but she was invited to the “Star Chance” competition in Jurmala. To earn money for the trip, the girl gets a job as a cleaner at the Mister Holmes detective agency, to which producer Zaretsky turns for help.
Zaryana, his best singer and a graduate of the very first show “The Birth of a Star,” was poisoned. The producer is sure that this was done by the one who sends him anonymous letters with threats and demands to close the project. It turns out that the girl’s death was preceded by a mysterious text message with poetry. Five years ago, someone sent these same poems to the famous singer Irma, whose career also began with Zaretsky. Then the sender was never found. Soon, reality show participants begin to receive similar messages.
