The app acts as a simple transmitter/receiver of messages: when the portal sends the appropriate commands, connected microcontroller boards or compatible universal hardware modules can have their respective ports triggered remotely. Additionally, the app can receive data from sensors and display values such as battery levels, temperature, and other measurements.
