The PAAN is a Program established by Law No. 11.193/2019 and through a card it guarantees access to a subsidy for the purchase of food, as well as the opportunity for families to participate in food cultivation, food and nutrition education and training and qualification.
The program is carried out in an integrated manner, between food and nutrition security and social assistance policies, through the Municipal Secretariat for Social Assistance, Food Security and Citizenship - SMASAC. It considers as a priority audience families with children, teenagers, young people, elderly people and people with disabilities, and even those with women responsible for the family nucleus.
In this way, the PAAN observes the municipality's commitment to governing for those who need it most and fulfills the objective of contributing to access to adequate food and promoting food and nutrition security, especially for those who need it most.
