Conecta Canaã is a pilot project developed within the scope of the project “Implementation and management of an Internet of Things-based smart cities platform for the Municipality of Canaã dos Carajás”, which is carried out through an agreement between the Municipality of Canaã dos Carajás (PMCC) and the Federal University of Pará (UFPA).
Conecta Canaã is the first smart city application to be implemented in Canaã dos Carajás and will open a communication channel between citizens and the PMCC, so that, online, the population can request services related to various areas, such as public lighting, garbage and debris collection, works and infrastructure, health services and others.
The application was planned to be a tool that uses the concepts of Smart Cities to operationalize the regulations of Law 13.460 of 06/26/2017, which requires efficient communication channels for participation, protection and defense of the rights of users of public services in public administration.
The first version of Conecta Canaã aims to establish a communication channel so that citizens can request, monitor and validate certain services provided by the city hall.
