About this game

Turn It On! is a collection of black boxes, where your task is to guess the mechanics behind. According to the played setting, you will use buttons, switches, wheels, knobs, handles, cogs, a handful of meters, displays, etc. You will need to recognize the machine's behavior and time your action wisely. Besides sharpening your mind you can compete for extra badges with more rapid solutions! - The game has levels those rely on colors. Please, keep in mind if you are colorblind.

Bought this game as a recommendation to follow tricky Castle. It is in fact a puzzle solving game but it's not exactly the kind of puzzle solving game I was looking for. I like when puzzles build up to difficulty and don't just throw you in without instructions to figure it out. I get it and I understand this is the premise of the game but it's just not for me. I do wish I didn't spend the $2 on it I would have rather had this as a game with ads and have the option to pay to turn the ads off.

I only have good things to say about this game. For starters, the music is wonderful. It was the first thing I noticed. And the game itself. It's simple but effective. Nothing more than a puzzle game, and it needn't be anything more. Its puzzles are logic based. It doesn't do explaining, it lets you learn for yourself, guiding you discretely but not to demean you, as if to assume you're a bit of a moron, like I've found that some games do. The levels make you think, but are not insanely difficult or nonsensical. I believe there were only one or two puzzle I solved, where I was unsure exactly what the pattern was to what I did was that resulted in my solving it. I never got stressed, I never felt mocked. It doesn't feel like a game that's trying to outsmart you, it feels like a game that wants to give you a moment to think, and a moment to relax. There were a few that I spent a considerable amount of time on, but I was determined to not look at hints, and to figure each puzzle out without growing desperate or taking an irrational approach, and that is what I did. I felt refreshed when I finished the game. I appreciate it very much, and recommend indeed.

Really enjoyed playing this game! Awesome! I like the puzzle design and though it's not terribly hard, it still is quite difficult with the higher levels. You can get the jist of the game immediately but to master it takes some time. I love games like this! Fun to play for 5 minutes or to get lost in for an hour. Even my 9 year old enjoyed playing and watching me play! Now that's a game that I can get behind. Cheers! 😊
