WAMC/Northeast Public Radio is a regional public radio network serving parts of seven states. These include New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. Stations and translators are in twenty locations throughout the region. Alan Chartock is President and CEO of the network. Our studios and offices are located at 318 Central Avenue in Albany, NY.

WAMC/Northeast Public Radio is a member of National Public Radio and an affiliate of Public Radio International. Financial support comes from listeners who contribute annually in fund drives and other appeals as well as from underwriting by businesses, grant support for WAMC's National Productions and governmental sources such as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the New York State Education Department.

WAMC/Northeast Public Radio operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year thanks to a very dedicated group of board members, staff, interns and volunteers.

Ratings and reviews

Pros- 15 second rewind and fast forward buttons. Con- Fails to open periodically and i have to uninstall and reinstall. If i pause a podcast, generally when i resume play it starts from the beginning instead. Update 9/11/23: this app just gets worse - frequently can't start the Roundtable, which is predominately why I use it. Uninstall/ reinstall used to work but even that stopped. This is the show & podcast that keeps me supporting WAMC. Perhaps its time to stop that.

Keeps crashing and closes on my Android. I don't know if there was an upgrade to my phone but it the only app that does so. This has always been an issue with this app and I've had to reinstall it every month or so from the get go, but I have not been able to open it for over a week now. Very disappointing.

"listen live" never works on Android version. Terrible performance. and I know it's not the phone because this is happened on multiple devices. plus if I go to the website itself and listen from there, it works. So I know this is not a signal problem or a service problem with my cellular provider. It's the app.
