KaPU Chunguza app enables chicken farmers to monitor the signs of three types of chicken diseases by taking photos of the droppings. The app is fully in Kiswahili language. The diseases are Coccidiosis, Salmonella, and Newcastle disease. A trained deep learning model for chicken diseases diagnostics is deployed on the mobile app and works offline. A user uploads to the app a photo of the chicken dropping or takes a photo of the dropping. Then, the model provides the most probable type of disease or whether it is healthy.

KaPU Chunguza ni programu inayowawezesha wafugaji kuku kutambua dalili za aina tatu za magonjwa ya kuku kwa kupiga picha za kinyesi. Magonjwa yanayoweza kutambuliwa ni Kuhara Damu, Homa ya Matumbo, na ugonjwa wa Kideri. Programu iliandaliwa kwa kutumia modeli ya akili mnemba (AI) na hufanya kazi bila intaneti. Mtumiaji anapakia kwenye programu picha ya kinyesi cha kuku au anapiga picha ya kinyesi hicho. Kisha, programu hutoa majibu ya aina ya ugonjwa au kinyesi kuwa bila ugonjwa (afya).
