Imagine using your phone to securely prove who you are when you need to. No need to carry your wallet with you to get into a participating bar. You, your phone and the tap of a button. That’s Digital iD™ by Australia Post.

Use Digital iD™ to prove you’re over 18^, and for everyday tasks like collecting items from the Post Office. Use Digital iD™ online for redirecting mail, applying for a police check or opening a bank account with participating organisations, and more. Anyone living, studying or working in Australia can use it as proof of identity.

It’s easy to start using Digital iD™ to prove who you are in person:

Enter the details of two ID documents (including your passport or driver’s licence)

Take and verify your photo using your electronic passport, or by visiting a participating Post Office

If you’re 18 or older, you can get a free Keypass in Digital iD™ that you can use to enter licensed venues or purchase alcohol in select States and Territories^.

^Keypass in Digital iD™ is accepted as proof of age to enter participating licensed venues and to purchase alcohol in Vic, Tas, Qld, ACT and NT (excluding takeaway alcohol in NT).

Doesn't work. First step to signing up/in. Enter the phone number where you would like a verification phone sent. Never sends the code. No option to go back, no option to send again. Did all the restarts/reinstalls. Kaput. Dissapointing considering the rate of actual bricks and mortar, in person post offices closing down...

It's a great idea, and while I've been able to set up and verify my ID, including a Keypass, I can't use them at all. Whenever I try to open the ID or the Keypass, the app cccccccrashes!

Just awful! Forgot my pin and requested a PIN change. The app said it will SMS me a New Pin IN 24 HOURS! 24 Hours later, I entered the temp pin and tried setting up a new one, but, the app doesn't accept it! Tried 3 different PINs while my pin try counter ticked down. Now waiting for temp pin #2. Will delete this stupid app as soon as I can gain access. I never had to use the app in the 12 months I had it and still can't think of a single reason I would need it. A BIG FAIL for AusPost.
