Moved from BT sport and was annoyed at having to log into the platform every time I want to use the app on my Nvidia shield tv - because having an email as a username is tedious when entering on a remote control. I am informed by the support team after repeated attempts to get the information that "At discovery+, we don't have an option to stay logged in to the account" - their words not mine.

It's clear the Discovery, with all its billions, cannot be bothered to fix this app. Its utter shite. I've tried to give it the benefit the doubtseveral times now, but Discovery plus is a waste of time and money. It constantly buffers, you can't watch anything. If I switch to Netflix, YouTube, or any others, they work perfectly. So it is the Discovery + app. After seeing the reviews,I know I'm right. Unfortunately ,t seems they don't care, as their reviews are awful a,d they've not acted. DO NOT

Update: Google messed up this one for me, and I was able to fix everything through Discovery Support team. I had a top class support from them trough chat. Do not buy subscription through Google PlayStore. I'm so disappointed...I subscribed to their lowest tier just to watch a few shows from Discovery channel, it took the money but It never worked. I even cleared cache did everything that's possibly messing with my subscription but it doesn't work.
