The app allows you to quickly and easily connect to an Open Protocol Server to send and receive data. This is useful for evaluating the capabilities of a server and the versions of various messages sent by the server.

Open Protocol is widely used in industrial bolting, and has undergone considerable evolution over the years since its creation. In addition, vendor implementations of Open Protocol vary in their quality and fine details, documentation is scarce, and most people who use Open Protocol have no knowledge of its inner workings. Consider on top of this that testing an open protocol server is often prohibitively expensive as client software can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars in license fees and hardware.

Given all the above, an open protocol server is effectively a useless box unless you have the good fortune to be in close personal contact with the programmer who developed it.

This lightweight application allows you to quickly connect to and communicate with an open protocol server on your LAN so you can understand the way the Server handles and responds to messages. This is useful for developing 3rd party software to communicate with Open Protocol Servers.
