Blue by ADT’s DIY home security system can grow and move with your evolving needs. Set up a Camera Only system or create your security system. It can also talk to your compatible smart home devices for a seamless experience. Get secure mobile access to your Blue by ADT system and control your smart home from your mobile device. You can create rules, alerts, manage users, access your cameras, saved media, and history of events all from your app remotely. Receive custom push notifications and emails for events around your house like arming, disarming, sensor alerts, camera motion, doorbell rings, or even if your garage door has opened.

Use the FREE mobile app to:

- Arm and disarm your system from anywhere
- Stream live, record video, and take snapshots from your security cameras
- Download and playback saved media from your security camera
- Check the status of your system
- Turn on and off the lights, lock/unlock the door, adjust the thermostat, and open/close your garage door with your security system
- Manage your settings and profile, set up and edit custom alerts, so you receive notifications via email or Push
- Set up custom Rules
- View a history of events
- Check on the crime map of your area

Ratings and reviews

Last update caused issues with alerts and video categorization. I do not get alerts for all camera activity and the home page does not show the most recent images when I open the app. I have to select each camera and look to see activity for the day. I have started getting bad path error -1 message when I go to view images. This doesn't include the connectivity issues that have been an issue from the start.

UPDATE: The app is working better now. This app is HORRIBLE! I've installed and uninstalled it countless times, trying to get it to connect to my system. I consistently receive the message, "Failed to communicate with server. Please try again." I cannot access the dashboard, let alone control the system from this HORRIBLE app. 😤 Other than this HORRIBLE app (can you tell I'll frustrated?), I have no complaints at this time about ADT. Will update this rating should the need arise.

This app bricks my phone. When opened, the screen changes orientation from portrait to landscape even with screen lock on and I have to force restart my phone in order to get control back. A lot of the functionality of the security systems needs to be accessed through the app, so everything is unusable. This has been a bug for more than 6 months. Get it together.
