About this game

OCRA, the Organic Chemistry Reaction App, allows you to test your knowledge of organic chemistry reaction mechanisms by solving puzzles just like the ones chemists are challenged with every day - in the classroom and at work.
Built by chemists, for chemists, the puzzles are presented in an authentic fashion, exactly the same way chemists would draw them in a lab book, on a white board, or in a textbook.
With a large and growing database of puzzles, OCRA is an essential tool for learning, practicing, and reviewing chemical reaction mechanisms.

This app is a breakthrough app in practising writing curly arrow mechanisms. Creating an app like this is not easy (so it's no wonder we had to wait this long for the fitst one to become available) but it's critical for teaching organic chemistry. Did I say it's really hard to write an app like this? Yes. That's also why game play can feel a bit clunky at the start, but you'll get past that. My key tip: watch the instruction video, it really helps understand how the app works.

Amazing app, helps me a lot with learning my organic reactions! It has simple UI and just enough features to keep things working. However i noticed a bug while using the app that when you click on show arrow and the hydrogen or atom in question is hidden, it doesnt work until you show the atom. 5 Stars if this gets fixed. Thanks for the great app developers!

Has potential, but some of the puzzles need to be fixed. Really useful for practicing reaction mechanisms. Wish they had a tutorial section explaining how to do a certain type of reaction, as well as options for filtering which reaction types you get. A solution would be helpful if you got the question wrong.
