How do I learn how to type?

Do not rush when you just started learning. Speed up only when your fingers hit the right keys out of habit.

Take your time when typing to avoid mistakes. The speed will pick up as you progress.

Always scan the text a word or two in advance.

Pass all typing lessons at Ratatype.

The average person types between 38 and 40 words per minute (WPM), what translates into

between 190 and 200 characters per minute (CPM). However, professional typists type

a lot faster — on average between 65 and 75 WPM.

Looks like great app, but formatting of display was off.. sentences and numbers to be typed in lessons was a single line at the top of the text box and ran in a single line for ever to the right outside the text book. Other text on left would chopped and fragment, not able view what was written.

Great app if your trying to learn to type without looking at the keyboard... I have increased my speed tremendously...

Easy as pie and work at your own pace, repeat the lessons as often as you'd like. It's amazingly simple.
