The interface is a little clunky and the app keeps switching back and forth between metric and imperial sometimes from screen to screen. I like all the features offered but they don't always seem to work. The idea from Stromer is great. The application needs improvement.

This app is a step backwards from version 2.9.11 which I have on another phone. The interface is pretty much the same as the older version, but the maps have less information than the previous one, and the maps are now all in various shades of gray instead of the older version which was color, making it harder to read. Bike connectivity remains spotty as well. Bottom line: the app is better than nothing. Stromer makes a terrific bike, but as far as post purchase support, they suck.

3rd update 7/16/20 FAIL. battery update BRICKED the bike. Waited more than an hour going off to do other things, i do have other things to do than tend this bike. Came back saw that screen was blank/off as it is when the bike is off or sleeping. Touched on button to wake or turn on. Nothing. No Response. waited a bit longer. tried again. Nothing. thought maybe battery needed reseat. Unlocked, compartment opened. Will not release Keys or shut compartment. Likely because FW bricked, now needs Dealer restart. Will Return to Dealer ASAP to request refund. My acoustic bike doesn't require this much fiddling. 2nd Update 7/16/20 Some success. with 3 bars 3G for a few hours, the app now connects. Many things accomplished: two bike firmware updated loaded, for the bike and the battery. BATTERY UPDATE REQUIRES CHARGER CONNECTED since its a LONG update. (judging by the release notes, nothing in them affects me much, they were not the cause of previous issues.) Time is set. Location is somewhat updated, though still logging old locations. Turned OFF start locked (who wants that?) and Alarm. Able to Pair both blue tooth devices i expect to use, and they connect. Could not set my new PIN, because there is no 0 (zero) allowed in PINs? will have to think up a new one. Update 7/16/20 Left bike on overnight to see if it just needed time to be found. Moved bike to better location for 3 bars 3G, tried a different device. tried using cell phone data connection from omni app rather than wifi. tried letting it know where the bike is, using location on Map. No joy. still not looking good. Update 7/15/20 After calling REI main location in WA, they got through to Stromer and Stromer did have contact info on the bike from their form i used on the web site, and got right onto activating the account.... now able to login and activate app. Now.... if only it worked only a little bit.... app reads: No Connection to the Stromer. although the bike is ON, reads 2 bars signal of 3G, and app device blue tooth is on and nearby (working with other blue tooth items) still there is no way to set/reset PIN, activate blue tooth, lock/unlock, use tracking, ride logging, or even set the clock, which, oddly, is the most annoying ... will investigate further, but it's not looking good. Initial view: Unable to activate app or login. Stromer seller REI seems not to know anything about OMNI account registration or activation. Contact message sent using Stromer web contact form gives no response. Some function of the bike inaccessible without app. Will return bike if app unavailable.
