About this app

The TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT is an app that provides remote control up to five units simultaneously. This app enables to check device status and view the recorded waveforms real time for operation confirmation. Names and colors can be applied to individual devices for easy identification. Also, Metadata (project name, scene name, take number) can be recorded in the recording file (BEXT, iXML).

※The AK-BT1/2 Bluetooth adapter (separately sold) is needed to be able to control the unit via the TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT app. For more information on how to connect AK-BT1/2 or how to use TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT, please refer to the instruction manual.

※This app does not support monitoring of the main unit’s input sound. To monitor this, please use the headphones output.

Very unreliable. Sometimes it connects immediately. But, in most cases, it will not connect.

I want to love this. I think the tech is great. But I do find it confusing and I think the tech and the app are beyond my ability to easily integrate. I hoped to use this for simple recording of stand-up comedy gigs that others tend to use the Rodes wireless Go II for. I wanted future expanability. The app confuses me as much as the device. Very tricky. If you have any suggestions, let me know. Clearly the app communicates to the Tascam 32bit device via Bluetooth. But I cannot comprehend it

The timecode of the app is always wrong when comparing it to the phone time it's installed on. I couldn't find a way to force it to sync with the phone clock. it's always 2 to 4 seconds behind. What I do is force my phone to sync itself with real time, it works accurately when I compare it to several other time synced tablets and phones BUT THE TASCAM APP IS NEVER SYNCED so it sends wrong timecode to my Tascam recorder.

-The stop button behavior has been updated.
During playback, a short press (tap) stops playback. For recording, the stop operation can now be set to either "long press" or "short press" on the APP SETTINGS Screen.
