With the Unpluq Launcher, you will be able to focus on the things you find meaningful in life, free of unnecessary smartphone distraction.

Together with the Unpluq key, you will have the power to decide when to transform your current smartphone into a distraction-free device.
When the key is plugged in, you will have access to all of your apps.
When the key is plugged out, you have access to non-distracting apps only. You decide which apps are distracting.

This makes accessing distracting apps a conscious choice. Also, you can decide the barrier to distraction yourself. You could for example leave the key at home, and only have access to distracting apps once you get back home.

Update 5/28/21: The update fixed the issue with the homescreen! Original review: Just got unpluq yesterday and it's been good so far. Helping me to be more intentional with my phone use. Putting apps and widgets on the homescreen is difficult. You have to wait until a spot becomes highlighted otherwise they disappear. Also the "hide time under apps" doesn't work and the time is partially cut off.

Great device, that really made me reconsider the way that I use my phone. Sort of a breakthrough, that I'm not sure I could have had without getting this device. So I still had some minor issues with the app, but nothing that cannot be worked around. The launcher bugs out occasionally in a way that I cannot access the app drawer, but that also fixes itself eventually. To summarize, if you are trying to reduce your phone usage, then the pros of using this launcher far outweigh the cons.

Good concept, but some very basic functions in the launcher still seem to be missing. It seems to be impossible for example to change the number of pages on the home screen, change the number of apps per page, use color mode when the USB is not plugged in and moving apps between pages does not work smoothly. Furthermore the use of widgets is much more limited and they don't look nearly as good. *turns out that the key still works with your native UI so the above criticisms aren't a dealbraker
