I'm a doctoral student. I like the tutor Varsity recommended. The initial intake asked several questions to ensure my needs were captured. Live virtual tutoring was effective because there was a virtual whiteboard, it's recorded so I can review again, & the whiteboard notes are downloadable. Scheduling the tutoring sessions were easy. Communication with the tutor, through Varsity's messaging, is convenient. I like that they also gave military (active, retired, veteran) & 1st responder discounts.

Experience as a tutor honestly is a bit frustrating. I accept an offer to teach within a minute of getting the text or email, only to find out that the student was assigned to a different tutor. So of the 10ish opportunities I accepted, I only got 1 student. So it sucks because I love it. I am a first time tutor, so I don't know what it is like for veterans. At this point I assume every opportunity I get, I wont get the student and 10/10, I'm right. To the one student I had - she was amazing!

I am a tutor for VT and have absolutely loved it. I like the app for scheduling and getting opportunities, but recently the app hasn't been sending the notifications through for an opportunity and have missed some bc of it. I checked all the settings in my phone and it's all right. Otherwise,it's an awesome app and company and I love my students!
