I would not buy this until you are able to test and make sure it works with your phone. I was really excited to try the Ziip after reading reviews about the device. I went and bought it (not cheap!), downloaded the app to my Android device, powered up the Ziip, and went to sync treatments. Nothing. The device won't sync. It hangs, tells me to move closer (even when holding it right on the phone), tells me it was almost there but was interrupted, etc. I read the FAQs, made sure my device was working properly, made sure I had location on, etc. I even put the app on my iPhone. Same thing. I contacted customer service, who got back to me within 24-48 hours and told me that they had "never had a device turn on normally and act completely normal except for syncing." I asked if I should delete and reinstall the app and was told "that couldn't hurt." So I did. Same issues, but I also saw all the reviews from people who said they had trouble syncing from an Android device. I went back to customer service and told them it still wasn't working and noted that a lot of the reviews seemed to contradict the claim that they had never heard of this happening before. They sent me the section of the FAQ about turning on location services and told me to change the setting to allow location to be on. "This should work! Keep us posted." In response I sent them the screenshot of my app settings showing that location is on for ZIIP, but it still doesn't work. That was a week ago. No other response since then. I guess it is back to Neimans to see if they will refund my money. Too bad.

Update; I contacted customer service, Mary was great at sending me instructions so I need to change my review. No problem connecting tonight, twice! You need to go settings and into app settings to turn on location permission. Now to see how it performs! I got it to pair last night after an hour if messing with it, Android. Tonight I paired it after a few minutes but lost connection and can't get it to pair again!

Broke twice since I bought it 4 months ago, and they're too busy sending out new customers their Halos to give me a replacement. First failure it wouldn't charge, but they immediately sent a replacement. 2 weeks ago the silver head came off in the middle of a treatment (yikes!), but because "this is their busy season" they cant give me a replacement. When- next year? Other people are recently reporting same issue. Love the product when it's working, but there are severe quality problems.
