▶︎ supports:
» AirPods 1
» AirPods 2
» AirPods Pro
» BeatsX
» Powerbeats3
» Powerbeats Pro
» Beats Solo3
» Beats Studio3

* This feature must be manually activated in the settings.

The battery status is displayed with an interval size of 10% (Full | 95% | 85% ...), because the devices only send their battery state with this accuracy. Also the case of the AirPods misses a Bluetooth transmitter. Therefore, the battery level of the case is only displayed when at least one AirPod is inserted in the case.

The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interface. The API for Bluetooth LE only works with Location Permission, because the beacons for indoor navigation also uses Bluetooth LE.

The only known way to customize AirPods and change the double-tap functionality is connecting with an iPhone or Macbook. After then you can use the changed the double-tap functionality with Android.

Huawei, Xiami, Vivo, Oppo and other Chinese branded phones may not work with this app. These companies don't always use standard Bluetooth hardware in their phones.

Update: recent update to December security patch seems to have taken away the ability to give app location permission full time (maybe?). Either way, after update its much more difficult to connect Air Pods. So many features for first gen AirPods on Android! Im able to see battery on both AirPods and the case, double tap to play/pause, pause when removing one ear bud. I wish there was an option to activate Google Assistant, tripple tap, etc. Currenly running on a Pixel XL2.

Unfortunately the app is not working with android 10 yet. I am working on it to make it possible but it takes time. What exactly works differently or is faulty?

This app works well MOST of the time, but I frequently run into these issues: 1. Doesn't detect my power beats 3s half of the time. 2. You can't pick your headphone in the settings, this causes the app to show battery for other headphones in the area and jump between other beats devices. I did purchase the "pro" version of the app which let's you remove advertisements, but I feel that us supporters who bought the pro version need something a little more than just removal of advertisements. I think something like different HUD themes for the app. Please fix these issues and I'll definitely give a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 rating!

The app technically works, it reads my airpods battery percentage, but it has quite a few glitches. It takes 5-10 seconds to recognize the airpods to get a number, if often mixes up airpods as beats, and it often displays one number only to jump to another number, or only shows one airpod when both are connected and playing audio just fine.
