Obviously, it's a move to save a couple of bucks by forcing employees to use their own phones instead of dedicated scanners for inventory audit scans. Inefficient in every way. Requires perfect focus from your camera to scan, as you sit there waiting for it to hopefully scan, and it burns through your phone's battery very quickly. As stated previously, this is merely an attempt from a multi-billion dollar corporation to save some quarters. It's as cheap in execution as was its inspiration.

Total downgrade from the prior scanners we used to use at FL. Kills you battery quick. Very frustrating to use since you have to focus the camera on the barcode, which is hard to do when the lighting is terrible...Bring back our old scanners!!!

Continually locks and freezes. Overheated my phone and drained my battery from full to zero in about an hour... Even on battery saver mode. As a whole a way for the company to not have to maintain their own devices.
