About this app

Universal QReader ™ is a completely free App for smartphone / tablet, which allows you to read a Digital Seal SQCode®, a Digital Stamp dedicated to the protection of documents that are typically used and checked (even off-line) on the move. The Digital Seal SQCode®, is a QrCode code containing digitally signed data and therefore cannot be falsified.
The data structure present in the Digital Seal SQCode® is expressly designed for this kind of two-dimensional codes and ready to adapt to various contexts and applications.
The data can also be encrypted, when it is necessary to ensure their confidentiality; moreover, the same cryptographic algorithms and the same secure signature devices used in a qualified signature are always signed with the same philosophy.

This architecture allows - only when necessary - the application of a qualified signature in the CAdES format: in this case, the signature certificate must be assigned to a natural person.
In more general use cases, unqualified certificates will be used instead, typically assigned to a legal entity; this approach allows to define "Digital Seal SQCode®" an Electronic Seal, oriented to what is indicated in Europe's Digital Agenda

The Universal QReader ™ App verifies the data signature and presents them with a layout suitable for viewing on mobile devices.
From the Universal QReader ™ App it is then possible to reconstruct the original document in PDF format in order to possibly share it in this form.

Attention: At the first start, the app will ask for a permit to access the room of your device, which is necessary in order to acquire the QRCodes and a permit to access the Contacts Directory. Access to the Contacts Directory is required as Universal QReader is also able to read QRCode of the vCard type (electronic business cards). This permission is required to enter this data as a new contact in the Contacts Directory.
We remind you that the Universal QReader App does not store any managed data, as stated in the document relating to the Privacy Policy.
