About this app

Dangerous substances are included in the MSB RIB decision support, and are used to search for information on dangerous chemicals and other products that are classified as dangerous goods. Searches can, among other things, be made based on name (in Swedish, English, German or French), the product's UN number or the chemical's CAS number. The app is primarily aimed at blue light personnel but can be used by anyone.

The information in Dangerous substances consists of, among other things, physical data about the substance (melting point, boiling point, flammability range, etc.), limit values, transport and labeling rules, but there is also direct advice for rescue personnel during a rescue operation.

The embedded help function (i button on the right-hand side) provides explanations for the various concepts used.

The app requires an internet connection the first time you run it, but can then be run without a connection.
