The Commented Drugs Repertory is published by the "Belgian Centre for Pharmacotherapeutic Information" (BCPI). The BCPI recognized a non-profit organization funded by the Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products (FAMHP). The purpose of the BCPI is to provide information on medicines on the Belgian market of health. This software application that unlocks as the website www.bcfi.be the Directory is intended for physicians, pharmacists and dentists, as well as students of these disciplines. There is a monthly update.

The purpose of the Directory is to promote the rational use of medicines. Rational use means that are used only drugs for which there are validated studies that we adequately use these drugs (in terms of indications, contraindications, dosage, interactions ...) and that takes into account the cost. In this respect, the notion of "evidence-based pharmacotherapy" state: it is important to know what the evidence is about the risk-benefit ratio of a drug.
