Al-Hanafiyah School

2. Ibnul Humam
Ibnul Humam (d. 681 H), one of the scholars of the Al-Hanafiyah school of thought in the book Fathul Qadir wrote as follows:
The virgin was not proposed directly to herself, but based on the decision of her guardian, it is different with widows. So when she has rights over herself and an application comes to her guardian, then the guardian is obliged to ask the opinion of the woman (widow), she cannot just be married off before it is clear that her approval of the suitor is clear.
