There are seven self-guided trails included in this digital active travel guide - ranging from relatively flat routes around the waterfront in Lochgilphead, or idyllic walks along the Crinan Canal and into Knapdale’s amazing temperate rainforest, to Kilmartin Glen past some of the most important and densely packed prehistoric sites in Scotland.
Each trail page includes a route synopsis, map and detailed route description to allow you to decide whether or not the trail is suitable for you.

About 'Dalriada'
Dalriada (also spelled Dalriata) was a Gaelic kingdom that existed in the western coast of Scotland during the early medieval period. It encompassed parts of what is now Argyll and Bute, stretching from roughly the 6th to the 9th century AD. Mid Argyll refers to the central region of Argyll, and it was a significant area within the kingdom of Dalriada.
