Very disappointed with this product and company. It seems now that they've made their money they have no interest in further developing this application. It takes so long for the App to resync with the device that it's just easier to pick up the device remote and use it instead. Can't pair the smart egg with multiple devices like a phone and tablet (nothing "smart" about that) Still no automation options. I'd love to be able to trigger a device to turn off at a set time and turn back on at a set time. No custom remote layout so you're stuck using that generic off-centered circle remote template where 60% of the buttons are unused for several of the remotes. (Not SMART) Also don't understand why it requires bluetooth to be on if it's using the WiFi through the dock. Would be nice to be able to send commands to it when not at home. I thought it would be like an IoT device where you could access/trigger it through any internet connection including the mobile carrier data connection. Overall this devices spends more time collecting dust than being used for its intended purpose because it's just not the useful in it's current underdeveloped state.

TL;DR: There's still a long way to go, but it works. THE GOOD. - I was able to pair my egg first go, and the stand after 3 tries. - Honestly really loved the remote mapping - very smart and I got 3 remotes paired all first go, even though their models were not listed on the pre-registered list. - One of the best help menus in an app I've ever seen, once I got a hang of the navigation system. - I know this is an app review, but the actual hardware is also awesome! Very strong signals that reach good ranges and it looks great on the table top! THE BAD. But like I said, there's still a long way to go... - Things are not very intuitive. For example, you need to select a room before you can create a new remote - you can't create a remote from the "All" rooms. - While I can pair with my Google Home account, I couldn't do it until I connected my Google+ account (which I was never told - I just kept getting a failed login) and even now I can only SEE the devices in Google Home, not control them (they are always showing offline). - Only the dock pairs to Wi-Fi, which would be fine if it could pass requests to the egg, but even though the egg is connected and charging, Wi-Fi signals do not work. - The "Notification" settings are just blank and I really want that notification to be turned off. - I get an option to edit the buttons on my controllers, but I can't actually edit anything. There's a drag bar that animates the moving of a button to a different category, but once I release the drag it all reverts. I can only move buttons INTO the "Displayed Keys" at the bottom, and only up to 5 I think. - I can't change the color in the "Personalise" menu like it says I can. Only the name an be changed. - I haven't figured out how to use "Automation" yet. There's no buttons or anything to interact with. - It forgot a single button on my AC controller, even though it started working and I didn't edit anything since. Re-pairing the remote fixed it for now. THE CONCLUSION. It works. At least it does on my Pixel. You need it to be able to use your egg, and it can (even if it takes a few tries) use it to control a LOT of devices. But if you haven't bought your egg yet, I recommend holding off for a bit until the software is more streamlined. At the moment the features are very limited.

After updating the app on 19 SEP 2021, my Smart Egg is not working. Keeps prompting I want to connect to someone else's Smart Egg. Please solve it. It looks like the updated app only supports the new Smart Egg Pro and Dock and not the original Smart Egg.
