- Dependent on Google's Detection: This app does not recognize music itself. It logs what Google's "Now Playing" detects. If "Now Playing" misses a song, it won't appear. (Tip: Disabling 'Enhance Now Playing' in Pixel settings may improve detection.)

- Permissions: Notification Access is required to detect songs. Location (Optional) is used only for the in-app map. Files (Optional) is used for backup/restore.

the app works great. however. it came with my pixel, that I bought over 2 years ago. all of the sudden, when I open it up, all my favorites are gone, as well as all my history. come to find out, they now charge $1.99. so for a measley 2 bucks, and no notification, they just stopped my app from working, that came with my device. sleazy.

I know there's a warning about battery usage when installing the app, but it caused my phone to last one day on a charge where it was previously lasting two. Additionally, the API that is used for the Album art in this app is terrible, it only gets the original album artwork about 1 in 5 times, usually it will pull up a compilation or best of or remix art instead. Would avoid until further improvements are made.

This app works super well and it's very helpful to track the music I hear in the background and picked up by my Pixel phone.

What's new

Default Music Player: You can now select your preferred app for opening songs.

Timed Pause: You can now pause history recording for a specific duration and it will automatically resume afterwards.

Database Statistics: A new "Stats" screen displays your Total Plays, Unique Artists, Unique Songs, and the date of your very First Record.
