You need to make an account and allow precise location tracking at all times to use the app. revoking location access will kick you out to the permissions screen. With the CRH18L the app doesn't do anything the screen on the fridge already does. You can't calibrate the thermometer, you can't see charge/discharge speed, and you can't even disable the beeps on button press.

I picked up the 80qt stainless version with a back up battery. the cooler is great and I like it enough. the buttons feel a bit cheap tbh. Im glad I got the back up battery but its kinda over priced for a plastic battery with what seems minimal for power for that size. ***the app is terrible! feels very intrusive for a simple cooler control. I dont need push notifications, nor do they need to know my precise location. Just need a few cooler stats and controls. deleted it. coolers cool.

the fact that this app is the only app in my phone that requires constant location, phone contact, E mail, bluetooth and Internet connection to work is frustrating as hell! I'm using solar power cause I'm OFF GRID! what is the point if I have to have all my actions and usage constantly tied to friggin WIFI just to monitor my charger 10 feet away. other than that it works technically.. my suggestion, is to get rid of anything other than Bluetooth permissions as a requirement for it to work.
