About this app

Cyph is a quantum-resistant secure communication tool designed to be friendly for users of any technical skill level. The technology underpinning Cyph β€” built by former SpaceX engineers, presented at Black Hat and DEF CON, and protected by several US patents β€” has been rigorously vetted with great success by German pentesting firm Cure53 against a threat model that focuses on nation-state-level attacks.

Appears to be a great app. Unfortunately, it requires google play services in order to reliably deliver messages. It's unfortunate seeing as how not every device has it, and not everyone wants it. We have many devices here with and without google play services. Please consider a workaround. Appreciate your work. Thanks.

I couldn't launch the app on my phone; it stayed stuck on an empty screen. The Web presence looks a bit shady, I see some curious Google results on this project, and the direct email marketing strategy toward privacy-conscious users felt somewhat tone-deaf, IMO. I can't seem to be able to delete my newly-created account through the Web UI, but I was apparently able to deactivate it. Not sure if I'll try this service again, but maybe in a few years. For now, I'll be sticking with Keybase.

Tried activation twice. Both times it just spun endlessly. Unfortunately until it actually works I can't give the app a proper rating. 1 star until activation is reliable because otherwise it's useless. Also, not a fan of the fact the founder was sending emails to random keybase users. I get it's business but that's spam.
