1. Phone (required)
- Required for login, device registration, download streaming, settlement, PC player linking, and music caching module initialization.
2. Storage space (required)
- Required for configuring terminal media storage, downloading content and lyrics, creating local playlists, and creating logs for CS response.
3. Microphone (optional)
- Required when using the music search function.
4. Location (optional)
- Required when using the recommendation service through For U weather information.

If your Android version is lower than 6.0, you cannot control app access permissions individually. To control unnecessary access rights, the device's operating system needs to be upgraded.

Ratings and reviews

I don't understand the complaints here. Like most korean apps you need a korean phone number. Its for verification. The layout can be confusing at first but once you get used to it, its so helpful! I love this app much more than spotify~ For people who can't understand Korean why don't you just use spotify / Apple Music / Youtube Music? There are tons of Korean songs there too. With so many options why are people bashing a Korean Music App for catering to Koreans only?

The music collection is respectably comprehensive but the player UX is confusing and convoluted. Deal breaker: can't automatically save offline music to SD card (only to internal memory). And to make it a one star review: canceling my account (and the rolling payments!) was so difficult that I had to search 멜론 해지방법 in naver and follow through some instructions provided in a blog (in Korean). I am talking about real *UX dark patterns* there, designed to make you give up cancelling.

비추합니다. 와이파이에서는 계속 끊기구요 설정 바꾸라는대로 다 바꿔도 개선되는 건 하나도 없어요. 혹시나 싶어 기기 바꿔서 하고 새로 다운받아서 설정 다시 다 해도 계속 끊깁니다. 이제 해지하고 다른 플랫폼 넘어갑니다. 유료로 쓰는 거 고민하시는 분들 절대 쓰지 마세요. The music streaming keeps getting interrupted and stopped. I've tried all the actions that they recommend to change the settings but it doesn't work - while all other music apps work with no problem. Totally not worth the subscription fee which is not a cheap one to begin with.
