You are about to discover the app A perfect day, part of the "Books for everyone" project: you will read Lane Smith's story digitally for the first time in symbols of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
WHY CHOOSE BOOKS FOR EVERYONE
The aim of the project is to promote accessible reading for all children who, alone or with help, can choose three different ways to read the story of A perfect day: with modeling they will be able to use the tap on the individual symbols to listen to the narrating voice or they will be able to listen to the same voice in a continuous reading of the symbols, it will be easy to follow the story because the symbols light up when they are read finally they will be able to choose the alphabetical text, deciding whether to read or listen, the narrator also accompanies them in this part
AN INCLUSIVE STORY
Everything points to a great day for Cat, Dog, Squirrel, and Bird until a bear comes out. Through a narrative structure that meets the needs of every child Lane Smith tells how someone's idea of perfection does not coincide with that of another. Its illustrations, cheerful and full of life, are interactive and invite you to play with sounds and sounds of animals.
Using the tap on the animated images, children will experience adventures and misadventures with Cat, Dog, Squirrel and Bird and will have fun with them in the games section.
The animations and games have been designed by the Paideia Foundation in collaboration with linguists, doctors and speech therapists in order to help children develop their sensory and linguistic skills.
Finally, children have at their disposal a tool that talks to them, telling them stories they can understand and love.
