Please do yourself a favor and get the paid version. You won't regret it. The free version is more of a proof of concept more then anything, since it doesn't support secured connections but Easy Tether really is one of the best ways to get tethering on a plan / device that doesn't support it.

I've used this app for at least 10 years and paid only $10 to get the activation code to be able to view https sites. If you don't pay for the app you can only access http sites which is getting to be very few. You should have an above average knowledge about setting up a network connection and be able to follow instruction to use this app or you will be one of the ones that write a review saying it doesnt work. They give very good instruction on how to get it to work. I think I had to disable one saved network to get it to work once and I either missed that in the instructions or it didn't saying anything about it but that part was just common sense. With the version I bought I have to contact them for a new activation code if I change phones and it usually took a couple days for a reply. This time it has been 5 days and no reply. I hope they didn't abandon giving support to the app because of all the dumbasses that were too stupid to own a computer. (That last sentence was a joke because a friend of mine use to own a computer store and when making repairs to software related issues there were many times when he wanted to tell the customer to take the computer back to where you bought it and tell them you want your money back because you're too stupid to own a computer.)

Great app! Only few apps like these work anymore and this app still works great to this day. I hope this app doesnt get abandoned!! It,s true it costs 9.99 but then your internet opens to the whole web sites with https in it. I ve used the app on different phones and never had to contact the devs. Always worked and ive been using this since 2019 and few phones... It pretty much sticks to tour google account for reinstalls

What's new

- better TCP retransmit code to reduce CPU usage and improve compatibility (e.g. with OpenBSD)
- faster IP checksum code for ARM (64-bit and especially 32-bit)
- fix for the harmless forceful shutdown on Android 8+ if no services are enabled
- fix for the v1.1.18 regression on rare Android 3.x/4.0 devices (pre-3.0 or 4.0.3+ were not affected)
