Charles Haddon Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) was an English Particular Baptist preacher. Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, among whom he is known as the "Prince of Preachers". He was a strong figure in the Reformed Baptist tradition, defending the Church in agreement with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith understanding, and opposing the liberal and pragmatic theological tendencies in the Church of his day. Spurgeon has been one of my favorites for decades. This is the original M&E (using the KJV). As for content, it's very much appreciated and exactly what I expected. As for operation of the app, it knows what day it is so it opens up to the right devotional. Easy to change date if you wish. Press and hold text to select a range for copy and paste. Great app and great author. I highly recommend!!

For those who yearn to be serious about their relationship with God as Christians, Spurgeon's Morning & Evening devotional is encouraging, challenging, convicting, and assuring. Though the wording can be a bit challenging due to the Old English way of wording things, I'd be hard pressed to find a better daily devotional. I use it every "morning and evening," along with the Scriptures from which the thoughts are drawn.

I have this book, but sometimes on the run I depend on this app, which I greatly appreciate. I have three suggestions: 1.) A night time reading mode would be nice. 2.) A bookmarking feature to save favorite morning or evening devotions would be spectacular 3.) Can we have the ability to change font size? This app is a truly a blessing. Thank God for you all.
