Lehra box is a lehra/nagma player for your tabla practice/Riyaz. Lehra Box plays a rhythmic melody that serves as an accompaniment for playing Tabla. It is intended for providing and maintaining a constant speed or beats per minute while playing or practicing the Tabla. A lehra machine is like a metronome but has a rhythmic melody instead of the ticks. It can be used for your Kathak / dance practice as well. The full version has the following features

Ratings and reviews

I've been using this app from 2011 or 12. It needs more useful updates. If the developing team can add more instruments, would be cherry on the cake. More taals can or lehras to choose from won't be bad either. It hardly gets any updates. Being a paid client we should get regular updates time n again. I would change my rating once the app is improved. Thanks

This app is ok at best. A metronome might be better. The lehras do not resemble the experience of flowing style indian classical music. Instead, it sounds like a learning student is playing in a very rigid "metronome" kind of way. It's a cheaper app compared to others like lehra studio, but the lehras are just terrible. Do not recommend.

Used this app for 2 years - almost daily. Good for beginners- my previous review (below) still holds good. I Have been using it for beginner tabla practice for a week now. The features are very user friendly. My tabla guru loves it and thinks this is better than the one he paid about forty bucks on his iphone. It has a few instruments on it but missing sitar or santoor which I think is a must for Hindustani practice. I hope they will be added in the next update. Loving it so far...
