About this app

TinyFile shrinks your photos without shipping them anywhere. Every byte is compressed on your
own device — no upload, no server, no account, and it works with the plane on.

Most compressors give you a quality slider and wish you luck. TinyFile also does the thing you
actually need: name a size. "This 4 MB photo, under 200 KB." It encodes, measures, adjusts and
encodes again until the file fits — then hands it back.

★ COMPRESS TO AN EXACT SIZE
Set a target in KB or MB and TinyFile searches for it: quality first, dimensions only if
quality alone cannot get there. Apply the ceiling to one photo or to a whole batch, where the
budget is split across images and anything that comes in under its share passes the leftover
down the queue.

★ BATCH PHOTO COMPRESSION
Drop in a folder of images and compress them all in one pass. Per-image progress, per-image
results, and one tap to export everything as a ZIP.

★ REAL QUALITY CONTROL
A quality slider from 1 to 100 when you would rather drive it yourself, with balanced defaults
that survive being posted, printed and zoomed.

★ RESIZE WHILE YOU COMPRESS
Cap the longest edge — 2048 px, or whatever you choose — and images already smaller are left
alone. Never upscaled, never stretched.

★ WEBP, JPEG AND PNG
Convert to WebP for the smallest files, keep JPEG for maximum compatibility, or leave PNG
lossless. Auto mode picks the right one per image, and TinyFile tells you when it substitutes
a format rather than doing it silently.

★ STRIP GPS AND EXIF METADATA
Remove location, camera model and timestamps from the output with one switch — before the
photo ever reaches a chat, a listing or a form.

★ SEE THE DIFFERENCE BEFORE YOU KEEP IT
A side-by-side compare view puts the original next to the compressed file so you decide
whether the saving was worth it, instead of finding out later.

★ IT NEVER HANDS BACK A BIGGER FILE
If re-encoding would produce something larger than the source, TinyFile keeps the original.
A size target it genuinely cannot reach is reported as missed — not failed, and never at the
cost of destroying your image.

★ HISTORY
Every compression is logged with the before size, after size and how much you saved. Clear it
whenever you like.
