About this app

IMPORTANT NOTE: this theme won't be updated anymore. Support ends with Pie.

Transparent Pie/Oreo/OxygenOS/Nougat is a substratum theme. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please don't download this theme because you won't be able to use it.
This theme supports:
-Android Pie AOSP (9.0) stock rom and custom roms.
-Android Oreo AOSP (8.0 and 8.1) stock rom and custom roms. Andromeda is required if unrooted.
-Oxygen OS Oreo (Oneplus 3, 3T, 5 and 5T). Andromeda is required if unrooted.
-Android Nougat AOSP custom roms.
Other versions (for example Samsung) are not officially supported so try at your own risk!

Like a glass!! This is Transparent Pie/Oreo/OxygenOS/Nougat theme for Substratum theme engine. Many apps of your rom will become transparent! You can choose a wallpaper and use it as background for your apps. Every time you change wallpaper, you have a new theme! I suggest to try this theme also with live wallpapers. The level of personalization allowed has really no limits! You can customize everything! Colors, styles and more. You won't find a better transparent / clear theme than this very easily!

HOW TO INSTALL
1)open substratum app and select Transparent theme
2a)To have apps themed with their original colors: choose a "StockColors" option in the top selector (according to your Android version), then select the overlays and the options that you want (except options concerning colors)
2b)To have apps themed with the custom colors you want: choose a "CustomColors" option in the top selector (according to your Android version), then select the overlays and the options that you want (don't forget to set AppBarsColor and AccentColor options in android system overlay in this case)
3)Use the floating button to apply overlays
4)Reboot
[only for OxygenOS: set the default theme in settings/display/theme]

Looks great, exactly how I wanted my Note to look. I love having transparent backgrounds in most of my apps. I have 2 issues with this theme. First, it made my phone jumpy, it's not smooth when you pull down the notifications or scroll. It's just glitchy looking. Second it can be hard to see text. It would be much better if you could control the level of transparency and have the option to blur the backgrounds. That would be great, you'd be able to see everything, no matter what color text you chose to use. Anyway that's my .02. I wish I had tried it as soon as I bought it. Then I could've gotten a refund. Dev, If there's something I'm missing, a setting or something, please let me know. I'd be thrilled to continue using this theme without those problems.

Hi, I'm sorry about the issues, but you can already control the level of transparency, there is a specific option in android system overlay. Regards

App specific notifications not supported and "this won't be changed" according to the developer. I used to use Swift Black's Android system overlay to enable app specific notification colors, but a recent update to Transparent put an end to that. Transparency was in System UI, but a recent update changed it to Android System, so I can't have transparency with other themes. It was a work around, that no longer works. Using only Transparent's Android System and System UI brings transparency back, but there is no way to have app specific notification colors anymore. Never said last update, and I see there's another user who has had the same issue on August 30th.

Hi, EDIT: this theme is live from many years and that part has always been like that, nothing has changed. Last update did not made changes in the parts you are reporting. If you use other themes and mix them with my theme, I can't provide support. Regards

No refund option at all? Didn't see it immediately after installing. I tried it and it's not functional with my phone. Glitches and deception plus lack of sense. This theme engine is at fault, I know. But the themes all require different bug squashing techniques to work. I miss Samsung Themes.
