About this app

For participating Districts, Stopfinder gives parents and guardians access to view and share their student’s bus stop assignments as well as communicate with the Transportation Department.

With Stopfinder GeoAlerts, app users can create alert zones at any stop or school or along your student’s route. Stopfinder users will be notified when their student’s bus has arrived at or departed from an alert zone. Know where the bus is and know your student has arrived at or departed from any location along their assigned bus route.

Stopfinder Forms allows app users to complete electronic forms sent from their district through the Stopfinder app. Stopfinder users can view new forms and submitted forms through the Stopfinder Message Center.

Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) notifications can be configured by Stopfinder app users to display the bus’s ETA based on their student’s assigned stop and the bus’s location. ETA notifications appear on the student’s schedule in the Stopfinder app and inform users the amount of time until the bus arrives at their student’s assigned stop.

Control who can see your student’s assigned trip stops.

Send and receive messages from the school district’s Transportation department.

UPDATE: They fixed the push notifications, for the most part. I still get late notifications. Would be awesome if there's an option to keep awake when looking at the map. OLD: Real time updates work. Setting up GeoAlerts is fine, but the most important aspect of it does not work. It will never push a notification to my phone and I will miss the fact that child departed from school or came into my neighborhood. Come on.....fix this PLEASE

Highly recommend. The real time location and estimated times are great to have. Especially in the winter, because my kids don't have to stand outside in the cold as long. They can wait inside if the bus runs a little late. This app really helps. It is also nice, because it will confirm with a time stamp when my oldest child got on/off the bus. My eldest is independent and gets herself on the bus in the morning so a quick check can tell me if she made the bus or not.

This app works when it works basically. The only time I can see the bus is when it's coming home on it's scheduled times never for pick up or early releases, which ultimately stinks for those of us that have to wait in negative temps in the winter. I just really want this app to work when it's supposed to. So I can see when my kids going to be picked up or coming home.
