About this app

You drive 50:50. That means you only have to pay half of the total fare directly in the taxi. The state of Brandenburg pays the other half for you - so that you arrive safely.

And how does it all work and who is it for? Very easily:

Who is the 50:50 cab for?
For all Brandenburgers from 16 to 25.

When does this apply?
Weekends and public holidays – from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

And how does it all work?
You log into the app and enter where and when you want to go. On the other hand, registered taxi companies can then get in touch and accept your ride. In the taxi you only pay half, the taxi driver automatically gets the other half from the state of Brandenburg. Tip: Didn't a taxi take your ride? Then call a taxi company in your area and ask if they are registered with the 50:50 taxi.

What do I have to do if something doesn't work?
There is both technical and content support. This is organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning (MIL). However, this is not 24/7 support, so you may have to be patient. But don't worry, the MIL will take care of it.

To the background of the 50:50 taxi

The 50:50 taxi has been around in Brandenburg for over 25 years. At the beginning of the 1990s, traffic accidents were so numerous and serious that the state decided to start many measures to increase road safety - both infrastructural such as crash barriers or securing the route to school, but also other measures such as the 50:50 taxi or the state campaign "Dear secure. Better to live.” This is now the longest road safety campaign in a federal state. Above all, the most important thing is that you arrive safely. Therefore, always be careful on the road and show consideration for others.
