About this app

We welcome you to Apprendit Presentarsi! With this app, you will learn to introduce yourself and others in Italian. In addition, you will cover basic communicative and grammatical aspects for learning Italian. Apprendit Presentarsi belongs to the Apprendit suite, a series of apps and digital resources to learn Italian with a contrastive Italian-Spanish approach. The Apprendit suite has been developed by language professionals from UNAM. More information at: https://ced.enallt.unam.mx/apprendit/

At first, our mascot, a little Roman wolf named Tito, will introduce himself and ask you questions so that you can build your first presentation in Italian. Through pop-up windows, you can create lexical and verbal ways to say your name, your age and what you study. In the end, you will be able to put together your first presentation in Italian.

In the second sequence, through speaking examples you will learn how nationality is expressed in Italian. In addition, you can decline demonyms taking into account gender. In this part, as in all parts of the app, you will have consultation windows to find out the verbs and conjugations appropriate to the activities that the app proposes. In the third moment, you will use the preposition “di”, necessary to say what city you are from and, in the fourth sequence, you will be able to say where you live with the use of the preposition “a”. As a closing, we propose two challenges: one for written expression and another for oral expression.

With Apprendit Presentarsi you will know how to introduce yourself and start interacting in Italian! We are sure that it is an excellent starting point to start studying the Italian language, even if you plan to continue it in face-to-face classes.

Good fun! Good learning!
