About this app

Photo Meta Remover removes private information from your photos stored as image metadata (exif) so you can share them safely.

This is an open-source project. The code can be found on https://github.com/antonis179/exif-stripper.

Photos you take with your phone contain a lot of metadata - some are benign, while others put your privacy at risk:

• GPS location / direction
• Camera make / model (this will be your device make and model)
• Date and time
• Software (the app used to process the image on your device)

Photo Meta Remover can show you the metadata in your photos as well as delete them.

Any data gathered by this application cannot be used to identify you. Some data gathering is required to serve ads and
perform bug fixing (see the privacy policy).
The app can be used offline and if you would prefer no data gathering you can build the app from source
making any required changes.

By downloading this app you agree to the privacy policy.

Current Features:

• Remove metadata from multiple images at once
• Edit metadata
• Save or Share the stripped images
• Share images to the app directly from your gallery
• Auto save option after metadata removal

If you have a feature idea you would like to see in the app please let me know.

An absolutely essential program if you are posting to social media. Before I post any picture to public social media I run the pictures or videos through Photo Stripper. Initially you set the app up to remove some or ALL metadata. Metadata is information about the image that may be automatically recorded by your camera such as date, time, location, camera type, and other bits of information that may identify personal information. I've used it for 12 months and love it.

Finally, an opensource, easy to use exif stripper. Since I have a pen name // and regular life completely separate. For influencers, streamers, and those in industries that attract stalkers. Being able to post on the go, and protect your privacy at the same time is ideal. My only request is in regards to your privacy policy. You note log data and use for it, possibly define a maximum time you store personal data for app improvements? IE 30,60,90 days? FeatureReq: Add/Edit Exif

Thank you for your review! Add/edit is in my to-do list when I have the time. The data stored are in firebase and very basic - meaning crashes and anonymous usage data (x people in y country and so on). No data that can identify anyone are stored.
