About this app

FrogID is Australia’s first national citizen science frog call identification initiative – a project led by the Australian Museum in partnership with Australia’s leading natural history museums.

Use the App to create a free profile and record frog calls. You can choose to match your calls to the frog calls on the app, then submit your recordings to the Australian Museum frog experts to listen and verify the species.

With your help we can put more frog species on the map and track changes to their species and habitats over time, and therefore monitor the health of our ecosystems.

Apps good except..... problem I have is record is not functional.... making app pretty useless really. Have uninstalled and reinstalled.... no joy. I would also like to link videos I've taken as well.... sometimes it's quicker to use the camera instead of the app to get recordings, would be nice to be able to upload these instead. Looking forward to some improvement.

Lovely app, relatively intuitive with lots of frog info. The experts get back to you pretty quickly too which is awesome. I hope one day they add a part to the app where it lists how many species you've spotted in a year/since getting the app and how many times you've recorded a species. That'd be very interesting ☺️. Thank you experts and the rest of the FrogID team :)

Confusing app. Needs a help button or something to reintroduce the tutorial that's at the beginning (at minimum). Otherwise an overhaul of the onboarding experience is required. Tried using play buttons to play frog calls but nothing happened. Didn't get very far as I didn't know how to use it. It would be better to have a map that when regions are selected filter known frogs in that area.
