Durango Safe Transportation is a digital application designed to improve safety in public transportation in the state of Durango, Mexico.
Durango Safe Transportation is a digital application officially authorized by the Undersecretariat of Mobility and Transportation of the State of Durango for development, implementation, and publication by Fenix Logística. The purpose of this application is to modernize and more efficiently coordinate emergency situations in public transportation, as follows:
1. Emergency Detection.
The application, through a digital panic button "HELP," allows passengers and/or drivers to report risky or dangerous situations on public transportation in real time and receive prompt and accurate assistance.
2. Notification to Authorities.
Passengers and/or drivers can report an emergency such as an accident, assault, sexual harassment, robbery, or any other circumstance that endangers the physical integrity of passengers. The application automatically sends an immediate notification and integrates with the C5 emergency dispatch system of the emergency services and the relevant authorities, providing the current geographic location and essential incident data for a quick and accurate response.
3. Continuous Service Improvement.
With instant emergency information, authorities can visualize risk patterns, identify critical points, and adopt preventive and corrective measures that contribute to the safety of all public transportation users in the State of Durango, Mexico.
In addition, the application allows users to rate the quality of service received during their trip, thus contributing to improving the public transportation system.
What does the Durango Safe Transportation application offer?
1. Passengers can use their cell phone to read the QR code physically located on each public transportation vehicle and easily identify the route or bus they are using.
2. Immediate Alert: In case of an emergency, activating the "HELP" panic button provides instant notification and integrates with the C5 Emergency Control Center's Dispatch System and the authorities corresponding to the type of emergency to provide timely assistance to the passenger.
3. Real-Time Location: Your geographic position is automatically sent to the C5 Emergency Control Center dispatch system to locate you and provide faster assistance.
4. Service Rating: Rate the quality of transportation at the end of your trip.
How does the Durango Safe Transportation app work?
1. Open the app and scan the QR code available on the bus you are traveling in.
2. Press the "HELP" Digital Panic Button.
3. Choose the type of emergency (Robbery, Harassment, Accident, Assault, etc.).
4. Your emergency situation is notified and instantly integrated into the Emergency Control Center's dispatch system and the corresponding C5 authorities with the geographic location of the emergency.
