UFO Brest is an augmented reality application designed to read the fine print book: Marine passage.
This is a whole new experience of reading a paper book connecting to an application for tablet and smartphone.

This very original story takes place in Brest and one discovers unusual places, fictional and real characters. The digital story will evolve over the months to changing places and additions of content offered by the community of readers.
The application gives life to the book through AUGMENTED REALITY function. The reader can scan paper book and visual display on the screen of his tablet or smartphone animations and videos that enrich the story.
The AUDIO BOOK function automatically trigger the story told and video animations associated with visual book.
The user interface is powerful and easy to use.
The book image scan triggers the animated sequence.
If you move yourself in the picture, you leave the video and you can trigger another sequence.
The list of pictures and motion pictures zones is in using the application.
The application is very intuitive and video sequences guide the reader in a new reading experience.
It can discover many environments universe designed by the founding artists of the project.
It can interact and post comments by clicking on the "COMMUNITY".
The marine passage and the UFO Brest implementation result from a collaborative project bringing together a professor of Lycée Dupuy de Lome, Sylvie Beekandt, a start-up, and bookBeo a collective founding artists (a novelist, Cecile Huguenin, a Photographer Mathieu Le Gall, an illustrator, Gwendal Lemercier, two directors, and Anne Nicolas Hervoches Gouerou a motion designer, Maxime B'chir and actress Geneviève Robin).
The application is developed by bookBeo based on its expertise in augmented reality software and new digital uses mobility.
