The tabletop game is one of my favorite games ever, not just because I am admittedly a Dune fan. This nails the digital adaptation, and now with the rise of Ix expansion, I can sink my teeth in it fully. Ix revamps a few spots on the board and overhauls the cash&spice economy fixing the major issues in the core game. plus they add CHOAM shipping, dreadnoughts, and purchasable tech. I would say the Ix expansion is necessary, and worth the ten bucks.

This is my go-to async game with friends at the moment. Some nits: UX: it's hard to keep track of which cards other players still have in their deck. It'd be nice if there was a way to see your opponents' non-discarded cards. ANNOYANCE: when an async game ends, the game sometimes completely disappears and you don't get to see how the game ended. Edit: Earlier version of review mentioned an issue w/ rejoining asynchronous games. The devs have fixed this.

Great digital board game with high replayability in the form of varying play styles, challenging offline AI, and some alternative rule sets/modes. Online lobbies offer live play on a 90 second timer, and very excellently also offer async play that allows you to play with friends (or random players) as you are able to find time -- in async mode you get a notification, a turn log, and have 3 days to take your turn. Would give 6 out of 5 stars if there was online co-op!
