Ratings and reviews

Why is this now (A) starting up on its own and running in the background; (B) setting itself up as a disk-drive?!?!?!? The latter causes the built-in Android 8 file manager to crash, making it impossible to open files & directories in many other apps, rendering those apps unusable. ---------- I'm done. I'll stick with running actual vim from within Termux.

I don't know how to promote DroidVim if you didn't already like Vim PC version. So, I could only gave Stars. I like Vim, can't leave home without it. If I think about it, Vim keys design (which is old) actually very fit with normal Mobile Virtual Keyboard; no Ctrl-Alt, PgUp/PgDn, etc.

I wanted an editor that could quickly edit documents that are a megabyte or more in size. DroidVim seems fine editing and searching through such documents. (I'll never use "advanced" features such as programming language support, so I can't comment on those.) I've found the developer to be quick and helpful in response to questions via email. It took me a while to adjust to DroidVim's modes and commands but I'm now very pleased with it.

Direct access to internal storage is now possible even with Android 11 or later.
